Qwix Mix On Tap was established in 2001 by Harlan Anderson in Madison, South Dakota. He started the business knowing windshield washer fluid had been manufactured and distributed the same wasteful way from the start.
No one had a way to calculate the environmental waste involved — the millions of plastic jugs filling landfills, the trucks hauling water across the country. Because that's what washer fluid mostly is: 70% to 99% water.
Qwix Mix changed that. Our proportioners automatically blend tap water, methanol, and our proprietary concentrate to make finished washer fluid on demand — for as low as $0.08 per gallon. Twenty-five years later, we serve everyone from single-bay shops to fleets that go through thousands of gallons a month.
